Skidmark Garage is a "no-collar" community DIY motorcycle garage. All are welcome who welcome all. There are no mechanics, only riders that want to work on their own motorcycles.
If you are new to turning wrenches on your motorcycle, this class is for you! Each person will get a handbook, and a grab bag of stuff.
We will cover: Checking oil on metric and Harley motorcycles. Changing oil on metric and Harley motorcycles Check air filters & replacement. Disk brake inspection, and pad replacement overview. Brake shoes inspection and replacement overview Types of brake pads. Clutch- how it works and clutch adjustment Tires: Wear marks, replacement intervals and what all the numbers on the sidewall mean Chain wear and alignment & Harley drive belt wear and alignment Spark plugs: gapping and replacement Batteries: service and replacement Charging system basic Basic lighting and turn signal repair Fork seal inspection Winter storage & Spring service, Overview of good practices for road side reviews
All work is done on bikes owned by Skidmark. This allows everyone to turn wrenches without concern over breaking things.
